Jesus was formed by reading the Scriptures. It seems strange to say it, because we think of the Scriptures as about Jesus! But when he was tempted, when he ministered, and as he gave his life on the cross, Jesus found his identity and mission in the Scriptures. We find our identity and mission there, too—if we can read and interpret it with confidence. In our first session together, we'll talk about strategies to help us read the Bible faithfully and confidently.
