Hope Families

“Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.””

      — Matthew 19:14

Our Vision for Families

We believe that what happens at home is more important than what happens at church.  Therefore, we try to resource and come alongside parents and caretakers by providing engaging environments for their children on Sundays.  We also hope to create opportunities for families to connect to each other.

On Sundays, we offer nursery, tots, kids, and youth environments.

(Learn more about each age group below photos)

During our Sunday services, we have setup a lounge in a large room behind our sanctuary as space for our families and overflow space. This room is equipped with a live feed of the service on a large TV and available during both Sunday services.

Hope Tots

On Sundays, you can check in your "tot" (ages 3 to kindergarten) on the first floor of the building.  Our Host Team will direct you to the Hope Tots Classroom where you're welcome to stay with your child or leave them with trained volunteers. Our tots check-in station is available right outside of our tots classroom.

During the service, our tots have a busy morning, full of the Big God Story, songs, crafts, and a small snack. Each week, they:

  • EXPLORE – using crafts and activities to peek interest in the story and reflect on the story.

  • DISCOVER – hear a story with the help of visual aids

  • RESPOND – engage in worship with motions and their voices.

  • BLESS – our volunteers take time to bless and pray for the Tots.

Hope Kids

On Sundays, you can check in your child (ages 1st to 5th Grade) on the first floor of the building. After check-in, head on upstairs to the worship gathering with your elementary school student for the beginning of the service. We encourage our families to worship together for the first part of the day (approx. 20min), then during the greeting time kids are invited to come to our kids classroom for a curriculum tailored for them.

Our fun Hope Kids curriculum includes an engaging Bible Study, prayer and activities such as crafts and games to help the kids connect further with that day's Bible passage. Contact Children’s Ministry Director Sheilla (sheilla@hopeastoria.org) for more information.

Hope Youth
