ALPHA COURSE: FOR THE SKEPTICAL BUT CURIOUS

Alpha is a course that's been attended by over 24 million people in over 100 countries.  It's designed for those who wouldn't consider themselves Christian to explore faith and the larger questions of life in an authentic and unpressured space.  

Who’s Alpha for?

  • The skeptical but also curious

  • Atheists, agnostics, those who don’t know what they think about God, Jesus, church

  • Those who wouldn’t consider themselves Christian or who aren’t regular church goers

Alpha meets online for 10 weeks. Guests are welcome to come and check it out any of the first three weeks with no commitment required.

What to Expect:

  • WELCOME (15min): A time to meet and get to know others.

  • TALK (30min): Each session, we will feature a video that explores the basics of the Christian faith and is designed to inspire conversation.

  • DISCUSSION (30min): After the film, there will be opportunity to share your thoughts and ideas on the session’s topic. Feel free to say anything you like or as little as you like.

EMOTIONALLY HEALTHY SPIRITUALITY COURSE

The Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Course (EHS) is an opportunity to strengthen and deepen your relationship with God.  This course is designed to help you:

  • Recognize and dismantle ways you’re living inauthentically to your true self

  • Learn to process difficult emotions and experiences with God

  • Grow in intimacy with God and awareness of him throughout your day

  • Create rhythms of rest and stillness in God’s loving presence

DATES & TIME
We will be meeting via zoom on Wednesdays from 7pm to 9pm for eight weeks from April 7th through May 26th. 

COURSE EXPECTATIONS
Participants in the course are asked to come weekly, do brief daily devotionals related to the class, and do 1 chapter of reading each week (about 1-2 hours of homework a week). You will also need to purchase 3 books (total cost $24 on Amazon). Scholarships are available for the books, please do not let cost be a concern! EMOTIONALLY HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS COURSE

In the Emotionally Healthy Relationships Course, you will learn 8 practical relationship skills to develop mature, loving relationships with others, and grow as a follower of Jesus.  Space in the course is limited and registration is required.

Participants in the course are expected to:

  • commit to coming weekly 

  • do 1-2 hours of homework each week 

  • practice the skills you'll be learning 

  • purchase 2 course books ($20 total, scholarships available!)
